ENGLISHINSTRUCTION EL-ECODIM-HQDimmer for conventional electronicenergy saving lamps READ BEFORE USE  2 Introduction: This dimmer is easy to place on almost every regular wall mount box anddims light in a fluent way until desired level. Besides that several lamps canbe parallel driven by one dimmer until 100 Watt. This advanced product is suitable for all types and sizes energy savinglamps (except for Philips); also for use with filament lamps and low and high voltage halogen lamps. Operation: The rotary knob is also an on/off switch by pressing. Before switchingon, turn the knob clockwise to maximum. The energy saving lampneed a certain time to heat up (depends on brand).By cold lamp dimming flicker can happen. After warm up the lamp canbe dimmed by turn the knob counter clockwise.Further depending on the universality of the dimmer and the widerange of supplier of lamps it can happen that some types will stopor flicker when the dimmer is turned to the absolute minimum. If thishappens, see diagram 1. Important advice: During operation the dimmer gets warm as a part of the connectedload is converted to heat as dissipated energy. The indicated nominaloutput applies to a dimmer installed in a solid masonry wall.If the touch dimmer is installed in a wall made of expanded concrete, wood or gypsum plasterboard, the maximum of the connected loadmust be reduced by 20%. This corresponds to an output of 80 Watt. The connected load must be always reduced if several dimmers areinstalled in series or if other heat sources should result in furtherheating. In very warm rooms, the maximum connected load must be reducedin accordance with the diagram below (diagram 2).  3In case of an ambient temperature of 50°C, the admissible connectedload is reduced to 57 Watt.In case of an ambient temperature of 60°C, the admissible connectedload is reduced to 28 Watt.Attention! The dimmer should be only installed by anauthorized electrician according to the attached installationinstruction (diagram 1).Diagram 1: NL ããã    InIn NLOut FuseFo, 8A/250V blackbrownblue Trim-potiMani-poti Calibration of the level threshold value:1.
