However, for subscribers of mobilewireless services, this may present a problem. Wireless devices are connectedvia wireless networks that suffer from low bandwidth and also have a greatertendency for network errors. Additionally, wireless connections can be lost ordegraded by mobility. The mobile agent technology offers very promising solutionto this problem. Mobile agents can migrate from host to host in a network ofcomputers. Their mobility allows them to move across an unreliable link to resideon a wired host, next to or closer to the resources that they need to use.Furthermore, client-specific data transformations can be moved across thewireless link and run on a wired gateway server, reducing bandwidth demands.There have been extensive researches going on in the development of themobile agent systems. But there are not many efforts in the study of theirperformance in real world applications and very few in wireless networks.
